Asanteman and Ghana at large mourn the sudden passing of the Asantehemaa. The head of the Asanteman, the Asantehene, Nana Osei Tutu II announced the death of the late Queenmother on August 11, 2025.
The Asantehene made the announcement after holding a meeting with the Asanteman Council at the Manhyia Palace, in accordance with Asanteman customs and traditions.
The Queen Mother, Nana Ama Konadu Yiadom III died on Thursday August 7, but her death was officially announced 4 days later in accordance with Asante tradition. She reigned as the leader of the women in Asanteman for 8 years.

Asantehemaa was named Nana Ama Konadu at birth. She answered Nana Konadu Yiadom III, after her enstoolment as the 14th Asantehemaa on February 6, 2016.
